Chapter 6 · The Mist

Eluma

The Mist Takes Form

The sultry form who rose from the dew of Odie's running. Bride of Elumo — clothed in gold, blue and white.

Odie slowly sprint towards the abandoned potato shack, when a ghost encroached upon him, from beyond the burlap sacks. Elumo the Ghost, who traveled solely via smoke, had arisen from a well, and his form began to grow. A misty dew began to steam, from Odie as he ran, which began to take a sultry form, that embraced the smokey man… The chill returned to Odie, as Elumo reached out his hand, delivering to Odie, a golden grain of sand…

Elumo of the Mist materialized before their eyes, clothed in gold, blue and white, dawning the dress of a beautiful bride. Elumo of the Smoke, took form above the well, sporting a matte black tuxedo, hosting a luxurious smell.

A shrewdness of apes, who appeared quite bored, with hors d'oeuvres in hand, began handing out forks. A troop of gorillas, who were clearly entertained, with props in hand, began setting a stage. A clowder of cats, too cool to help, made their way to the shack, and brushed themselves against the well. A pack of dogs, dirty as can be, rolled around in the sod, before licking Odie.

A knot of toads, who were particularly rude, disrespected the wait staff, but tipped them more than they were expected to. An army of frogs, remained distant, from the rude knot of toads, for they didn't get along, they were mutually loathed. A raft of king penguins, came to land from the stream, when a waddle of emperor penguins, watched on from the S.S. Dream.

Sally and Pepe, stepped down from the steamboat, hounded by paparazzi, while they waved at the people. Pookas appeared and sat on both sides of the aisle, with darkness in their hearts, bearing devious smiles. Critters made of flowers began flooding the aisles with fragrant aromas, while fruits and vegetables took their seats, adorning decadent togas.

Mushrooms arrived, including chaga, and reishi, the magic ones too, as well as cordyceps, amanita and porcini. Odie looked in amazement, upon the developing setting, "What's happening Ohm?" to which he replied, "It's a wedding!"

Life of every creed and kind, descended upon the shack, many merry, drinking wine, playing games, and sharing laughs. Others arrived, who appeared to be full of anger, "Stay close…" spoke O, the prophetic piece of paper.

A gentle zephyr graced the refurbished potato shack, and like magic, Gale appeared, with an amethyst necklace, and white hat. "Please take your seats, it's time to begin," spoke Gale, the Deacon of the Wind.

All life at the wedding, began to take humanoid form, but no one seemed to notice, except Odie, who was floored. Elumo and Eluma spoke their vows, and proceeded to kiss, becoming one under God, the unity of smoke and mist.
