Chapter 15 · The Golden Ghost

The Lion

The Lion's Ghost

Three canines on display, one lion tooth gone. Ushered aboard the S.S. Dream by Odie — later, alive and vegan, Belle's pal in the forest.

Then, from deep within the forest, a golden ghost emerged, being sucked into the well, when Odie felt a surge. The time is now, he thought, and although he wasn't fast, he was strong enough to grab the ghost, and that he firmly grasped. The ghost's head roared, 3 canines on display, one lion tooth was gone, the other 3 were gray.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone, the fate beneath the floor… Odie squeezed some more. As he held the spirit, the sun kissed the lion clear, to the point where his hands, passed through into a spear. The S.S. Dream arrived, and ushered forth the lion's glow. Pepe applauded Odie, "Ayyy, we thought he was lost!" And Odie looked on in awe, as the S.S. Dream took off.

Sally watched in silence, from the throne above the clouds, recording Odie's ways, and taking note of all his doubts. The door to the S.S. Dream transformed into a gate, signaling to Sally, that the S.S. Dream had changed.

Once Odie was deep enough into the forest, he got out of the dirt, and was greeted by a cow, who seemed to have a growth spurt. "So… I guess, he didn't eat you?" Odie posited the cow, "No, he's vegan, and I'm Belle, we've actually become pals."

The lion yawned, taking an enormous gasp, tilting the trees, as well as the grass. The enormous yawn altered the wind's flow, and from deeper in the forest, inward floated O. "Here the trees have control, over where the wind blows…" Wrote the Prophecy O, before he drifted beyond a grove.

Right beyond the grove, was a swampy green lake, Odie looked around, to make sure the coast was safe. The scene serene and green, was pleasant Odie deemed. He stood before a tiny a boat, and pushed it off to sea.

The journey seemed to flow as fluid as a lucid dream. There was a point, where the setting changed, and the peaceful ambiance, became a bit deranged. He took its oars and churned them forward, passing through the ghastly borders… Filled with filth, the pond was still, but time, saw that, the trees would wilt…

With each pull, he felt a tilt, he thread the water, as if it were precious silk. Smoke was rising in the horizon, mesmerizing faces could be seen in it, smiling… O was always just out of reach, but Odie basked in awe, of the world unseen.
